Field Technician – Fleet & Weighbridge SystemsWitbank / Middelburg (or willing to relocate)
Join a forward-thinking team at the cutting edge of fleet management and weighbridge technology. We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Field Technician to install, maintain, and support onboard vehicle hardware and data systems across industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission hardware in trucks and fleet vehicles
- Diagnose and resolve wiring, hardware, and connectivity issues
- Support weighbridge and data capture systems
- Conduct routine maintenance and system health checks
- Work on-site at mines, power stations, and logistics depots
Required Skills
- Trade Test Auto Electrician: 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills (12V/24V systems)
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Proven experience installing and maintaining technical hardware
- Willingness to travel and work independently in field environments
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
Advantageous:
- Experience as an auto-electrician or with fleet systems
- Knowledge of telematics, GPS, GSM, or IoT technologies
